Golden Bay, known for its gold sand and naturally formed dunes on its surrounding slopes, is one of the most popular beaches on the Maltese Islands, both with Maltese and tourists alike. The bay is situated in the Northwest part of Malta, close to two other sandy beaches - Ghajn Tuffieha Bay and Gnejna Bay. The bay is bordered by high hills. On the left side of the bay lies a watch tower that dates back to the Knights of Malta. The beach is a popular location for sunbathing, swimming, water sports, snorkelling, barbeques, admiring the sunset and enjoying a chilled out summer nights at the beach.
